When The Lights Go Out — Giclée Print

from $20.00

This burning candle is akin to an hourglass, marking time as it passes and reminding me that there is an end to every season, every version of ourselves, and every life. She’s a beautiful signifier of a natural finality to all things — a sort of melting away in order to begin anew.

What’s left when the lights go out? At the end of the day, what really matters? I find myself realizing my priorities have shifted as I enter my thirtieth year of life. Ideals and goals have grown and morphed into bigger, brighter entities. I feel empowered blowing candles out on my journey, allowing old ideas to be abandoned for new ones. I can feel something good on the way for all of us — I just know it.

Details: Each print is an archival giclée reproduction printed on high quality, beautifully textured paper here in my studio on a professional fine art printer. Each print is cut by hand and signed in pencil before being packaged individually in a clear sleeve with backing board to be shipped in a rigid flat mailer (small print) or rolled up in protective tissue paper and shipped in a sturdy tube (large print). Colors are matched as closely as possible to the original, though some variation may occur due to the restrictions of the printer’s color gamut. Each print is an easily framed size, so displaying it is easy!
