On Becoming — Painted Tray

$418.00

Designed as a functional fine art piece, this hand-painted tray serves the purpose of both beauty and practicality. Finished with a hard coat to protect the artwork, this tray is perfect for use as a catch-all by the door, a jewelry tray on your nightstand, or as a rolling tray for your gardening ritual. Alternatively, a sawtooth hanger can be added at no extra charge for easy hanging on your wall.

My artwork is intended for you to bring your own experiences to your interpretation of the piece, but I painted this piece with these meanings in mind:

Cosmo: a season of growth and flourishing

Moth: symbolic of one’s becoming, the evolution into beauty

Burning Candle: the passage of time, a reminder that all things end

Chain: restrictive societal norms surrounding feminine being (designed to be broken)

Materials: gouache and acrylic paint on wood, sealed with a clear hard coat

Care: To clean, wipe with a damp cloth then dry gently. Mild soap may be used.

Artwork is approximately 9×9”
